In the senior division of our invitational camps we record that statistics from most games. Here are our current stat leaders in each State.
Stat Leaders
|
One of the features of the senior division of our Invitational basketball camps is that we record the main key statistics for players. We do this for everyone but it is mainly beneficial for the players who are trying to get into US colleges in the future. At high school level in the US all statistics are kept from their first year of playing. This is extremely useful when approaching colleges for scholarships. It is also beneficial to statistically identify weaknesses under pressure that you need to improve. These are also beneficial for us as coaches as we can tell exactly what areas do require additional work during a camp.
The following are our current stat leaders from the States we have been to in September / October this year. Our statistics have all been averaged over a 40 minute game. This is the same as what most US high schools play under. So if a game at our camp has been played for only 20 minutes then we have calculated the stats and then doubled them to represent a 40 minute game. Some of our games to date though have been 4 x 10 minute quarters and in this case no adjustments have been made.

Featured Players
Over the past 12 months we have seen many great players attend our programs. Below are some of the players who have attended our programs and who should be watched as possible stars of the future.
Deng Deng, Melbourne, Victoria - Came to our July 2010 camp in Melbourne and dominated inside and out. His athleticism, inside strength and aggression and great perimeter shooting has already seen him attract strong interest from US colleges. He toured the US in 2010 and if he continues to improve in his last year of high school he will definitely field high level college offers.

Dalibor Nonkovic, Sydney, NSW – Came to our Hills camp in October 2010 and showed his great shooting capabilities. Has great strength and power and with improvements in a few areas is likely to get a US college scholarship. Had some great games on our 2010 US Tour and impressed several US college coaches.

William Edge, Perth, WA - Our first WA camp in October saw a very strong turn out with many players showing great potential for the future. Will was one of these players who also joined us on our US tour in 2010. At only 16 Will showed great leadership while on tour and had some extremely dominant games. His ballhandling in the point guard position and shooting was extremely impressive.
Anthony Pronin, Canberra , ACT - Attended and dominated our ACT camp in April 2010 and showed some exceptional talent. Has good strength and size with great ballhandling and shooting abilities. Will definitely watch his progression in the next few years.
Jesse Wilesmith , Canberra, ACT – Was very impressive at his first camp in 2010. Very quick player with great handles. His passing for someone his age was extremely impressive. Has a great understanding of the game for someone his age. Big things are expected.
