GENERAL INFORMATIONEach year up to 4 teams will be chosen from the best players around the country who attend our Invitational Camps. The teams will then tour the US in late November/December playing against US High School teams. TYPICAL TOUR ITINERARY 2010
ARIZONA INTERNATIONAL CHALLENGEWe are working jointly with some local high schools in Phoenix and are running an annual tournament in Phoenix for our and other Australian teams to participate. In 2009 it we will have 4 US vs Australian teams in an international challenge tournament. The Phoenix Suns have thrown their support behind the tournament and have agreed to have the finals played at their US Airways Center. All participants in the tournament would also get tickets to a Suns game as well a Suns guest speaker at an official tournament function. COSTSAll travel costs will need to be met by the players. A full information pack will be provided to those selected to the team and the reserves. At the moment for 2010 we would expect the travel costs to be approximately $5000 to $6000 plus food and spending money. When our itinerary is finalized we will be able to provide a more accurate costing. Final itinerary and costs will be known by June 30th. Contact us for more information. TEAM SELECTIONAnyone between the ages of 15 and 18 is welcome to try out but must have attended one of our Invitational camps. This year we will select our teams earlier so players and parents have more notice and more opportunity to save for the tour. The 2010 tour teams will be selected over the March / April Holiday period. We will select 20 players (2 teams) as well as 5 or 6 reserves. As we are not getting to WA or QLD until the next holidays in July we will reserve 4-5 places on the teams for players from these States. If not all spots are filled from WA and QLD then some of the reserves will be called up. If you wish to be considered for selection simply advise us when you attend the camp. PROPOSED TOUR JULY 2010In July 2010 we are looking at conducting a tour for one team only for 18 and 19 year olds serious about college opportunities. This team would compete in some of the top US AAU tournaments which are heavily scouted by US College coaches.
